11.14.2025 — Breakfast with Senior Veterans partnering with VA Hospital in the Bronx

Homes for Veterans had the privilege of spending the morning with senior veterans at the VA in the Bronx for a special breakfast filled with coffee, bagels, conversation, and unforgettable stories.

Korean War and Vietnam veterans shared their experiences, memories, and life stories with us, and it was truly an honor to sit beside them and listen. There were so much wisdom, strength, humor, and resilience in that room, and it reminded us just how important it is to create moments like these where veterans feel heard, appreciated, and connected.

A special thank you to SMBC Bank for generously providing backpacks for the veterans. The backpacks consisted of toiletry essentials and a Target gift card. They were a huge hit and so appreciated by everyone there.

It was such a meaningful morning for all of us at Homes for Veterans, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to spend time with these amazing men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country. We already look forward to returning soon.
