PARTNERING WITH BLACKSTONE AND BLACKSTONE CHARITABLE TO BRING JOY TO HOMELESS VETERANS ON VETERANS DAY

This Veterans Day, Homes for Veterans partnered with Blackstone and Blackstone Charitable to honor and give back to the veterans of Borden with a heartfelt day of appreciation, connection, and support.

Together, we hosted a special event where veterans were welcomed with a warm, shared lunch, creating a space not just for a meal, but for community, conversation, and recognition. It was a moment to pause and truly honor the sacrifices made by those who have served our country.

In addition to lunch, each veteran received a thoughtfully prepared care package, generously donated to support their everyday needs. These bags included essentials such as toiletries and Target gift cards, offering both practical support and a small token of appreciation for their service.

While the items themselves were meaningful, the impact went far beyond what was inside each bag. It was about showing our veterans that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.

We are incredibly grateful to Blackstone for partnering with us to make this event possible, and to everyone who contributed to making the day special. Together, we were able to bring comfort, gratitude, and a sense of community to the veterans of Borden.
