05.04.26 Luncheon for Female Veterans | Partnering with Housing Plus in NYC

Homes for Veterans partnered with Housing Plus in New York City for a very special day dedicated entirely to our first all female veterans event.

Together, we provided hundreds of essential household items while having the opportunity to sit down, connect, and hear the stories of the incredible women we were there to serve.

Many of these women are veterans, mothers, hardworking members of the NYC workforce, and volunteers within their own communities. They continue to carry the sacrifices and experiences of their military service while showing up for their families and communities every single day.

A special thank you to Northwestern Mutual for helping fund this event, and to veteran Leslie Polgar for coming out and volunteering alongside us.

For us, events like this are about more than giving out essential items. They are about showing our veterans that they are seen, appreciated, and that there is a community standing behind them.
