05.28.26 Veteran Appreciation Event | Partnering with ICL & Wounded Warrior Project

Homes for Veterans partnered with Wounded Warrior Project to spend the day giving back to veterans currently living at the Borden Avenue Veterans Residence in New York City. Together, we provided essential household items, clothing, a warm lunch, and even haircuts but more importantly, we had the opportunity to sit down, talk with our veterans, hear their stories, and remind them that they are not forgotten.

A special thank you to Calvin from ICL for helping us bring this day together and to Kevin for volunteering his time and providing haircuts for our veterans.

Our mission goes beyond the walls of a home. It is about showing up for our veterans  wherever they are and making sure they know there is a community standing behind them.

They served us. Now it’s our turn to serve them.
