Walk-In Tub Completed for Desert Storm Veteran
Bryant Livingston of Virginia served our country in both the Army and Marines. As a young man, Officer Livingston was deployed to Iraq in Desert Storm, Germany, Somalia, and Haiti.
Like many brave veterans, Mr. Livingston suffers from PTSD and panic attacks in addition to physical injuries. Through the years he has experienced debilitating back and leg pain which has caused him to spend half of his life in a wheelchair.
Immersion in hot water has been proven to lessen the symptoms of PTSD while providing relaxation and pain relief. The buoyancy of the water takes pressure off of taxed muscles which improves circulation. Baths can also lead to a reduction in the production of cortisol, the stress hormone, and an increase in serotonin levels.
Every time Mr. Livingston got out of the tub it came with a fear of falling or slipping. Homes for Veterans had the pleasure of installing a walk in tub that allows for safety and comfort.
We specifically want to thank V & A Remodeling. The team there worked through New Years to ensure that the project was completed safely and quickly. We thank these patriots for all the work they do to serve our veterans.
