Howard proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, stationed overseas in Turkey and Europe during the Cold War era. Today, Howard lives with a 100% disability rating and struggles with severe back issues, sciatica nerve pain, poor balance, and increasing dizzy spells. He currently relies on a cane to get around, and with his mobility continuing to decline, the fear of falling has become a part of his everyday life. His bathroom is one of the biggest concerns.
Homes for Veterans completed renovating an ADA Bathroom installing grab bars, a shower bench and a safer space to navigate and significantly reduce his risk of a fall.
Howard spent years serving our country thousands of miles from home. Now, as his needs change, we want to make sure his home changes with him.
